Unlicensed Vehicles

A summary of 6-8-5 of the Village Code Book

All motor vehicles must be licensed unless they are stored in an enclosed building.  If a vehicle is not licensed, it needs to be licensed or removed within 7 days.

If a vehicle is abandoned on the road or at a public place, the police department is authorized to tow it away.  Towed vehicles will be impounded untill claimed or disposed.  If a vehicle is removed from private property, the property owners are responsible for all towing costs and storage fees.

All towed vehicles will be searched for valuables and all contents will be inventoried.
