Forreston has a range of events to enjoy. From outdoor concerts, seasonal festivals, and sporting events, to spending time in our local parks and relaxing with family for an afternoon of outdoor fun. There are many activities to choose from.
Check out the playgrounds at Memorial Park and Warnken Park with your kids. The baseball diamonds are busy all summer with boys and girls little league teams and the High School Baseball and Softball team use the field during May.
The American Legion sponsors a Memorial Day Program at Memorial Park. Hometown Days, Sauerkraut Days, and Christmas in the Country are annual events with activities over their respective weekends. These events and activities will be listed on our events page as dates are set.
White Pines State Park is a 15 minute drive south on White Pines Road. Hiking, camping, fishing, gift shop, and restaurant are available.
Oakdale Nature Preserve is 10 minutes north - just off Baileyville and Cranes Grove Roads. Hiking trails, lodge, and nature center are available.
Access to the Rock River for boating, skiing, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing are available in Byron, Oregon, Sterling, and Dixon.
